Who am I as a Nutritional Therapist?

People often ask me how I work. Many think my job is all about food plans, special diets, functional testing and supplements.

But no, it is much more complex and holistic than that.

My work revolves around helping people to achieve optimum health by considering all aspects of physical and emotional well-being. It's an exciting and rewarding journey that involves in-depth research, analysis and so much more.

It all starts with a deep dive into your medical and lifestyle history, including sleep habits, stress levels, exercise routine and much more.

I will work with you to help you understand your body and create a personalised nutrition and lifestyle plan based on your unique needs that you can follow consistently.  It's not just about what you eat, but also how and why you eat and how your body responds to different foods.

Clients come to me with their unique set of health challenges. Taking the time to listen to their stories and desired goals is what makes a huge difference.

I educate, empower and support you on your journey towards Optimal Health

It is not just about nutrition but understanding the whole person and helping you achieve Deep Health.

DEEP HEALTH

1

SOCIAL

Having a sense of connection and belonging to the people in your life

2

PHYSICAL

Feeling strong and energetic

3

EMOTIONAL

Being able to accept, process and express your feelings and emotions

4

MENTAL

Being able to think clearly, focus and remember important stuff

5

ENVIRONMENTAL

Living amidst surroundings that feel safe and supportive

6

EXISTENTIAL

Having an underlying sense of gratitude, purpose and joy

Sometimes, no matter how much greens you eat or how many miles you run, you can't seem to improve how you look or feel.

Meanwhile, your friend can eat a burger and fries every day and still have a perfect figure and mood. It's frustrating, right?

Homemade Pizza

Have you ever followed all the right nutrition and lifestyle advice, but still were not able to see the results you wanted (even though it was the most promising and well-researched advice out there)?

Or have you ever wondered why some people can eat a whole pizza and not gain a pound, while others look at a slice and their trousers feel tighter (that’s me)?

It's a mystery of the universe, like why cats always land on their feet or why we can't resist popping bubble wrap (although, I’m sure there is science behind these too!).

The truth is, you are a unique human being with individual needs and circumstances that affect your nutrition and lifestyle choices. You see, we are 99% genetically identical, but that 1%

This tiny number is a game-changer!

PERSONAL PREFERENCES

  • Individual preferences

  • Likes and dislikes

  • Assumptions and expectations

  • Perceptions and perspectives

  • Passion, values, meaning and purpose

PHYSIOLOGY

  • Genes

  • Epigenetic expression

  • Hormonal effects

  • Hunger, energy and craving responses

What is
Personalised Approach
for me?

PRACTICAL CIRCUMSTANCES

  • Living situation

  • Physical limitations

  • Intellectual abilities

  • Financial situation

  • Past traumas

  • Environmental conditions

PSYCHOLOGY

  • Personality

  • Emotional differences

  • Resilience

  • Motivation, drive, productivity

That's where personalised nutrition and lifestyle approaches come in. We all have different physiology, psychology and personal preferences that influence what we eat, how we exercise, and how we choose to live our lives.

It's not just about eating "clean" or hitting the gym five days a week. It's about figuring out what works for YOU.

It might be the right time to embrace your uniqueness and take control of your health journey.

Maybe you are a night owl who loves breakfast for dinner, or maybe you're an early bird who needs a protein-packed breakfast to start your day. Maybe you have a food allergy or intolerance that limits your choices, or maybe you have a busy schedule that makes meal planning a challenge.

Maybe you're someone who thrives on intense workouts, or maybe a gentler approach like yoga or walking will work better for your health condition.

Just because some promising stuff works for someone else doesn't mean it will work for you.

As obvious as this might sound, we struggle to accept this reality sometimes.

WHAT CLIENTS SAY

I’ve been trying to lose weight for ages. But little did I know that this experience would be far more profound. Our sessions helped me to appreciate my body and the nourishment it requires. I do not see food as the enemy anymore. I’m done with shame and awkwardness around food. Instead, I rediscovered the pleasure of savouring each bite and a genuine sense of joy and contentment.

Whatever your circumstances are, there's a personalised approach out there for you. Maybe you will discover a new favourite food or exercise routine, or maybe you'll find a new perspective on the choices you make every day.

Working as a team, I will help you to embrace your uniqueness, listen to your body and achieve your goals in a way that will make you feel your best.

Because at the end of the day, that's what really matters, doesn’t it?
